In Whip It, her directorial debut film, she also played a lead role. She was awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award and an Golden Globe Award for her role in Grey Gardens. She was also a part of the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet. She is currently hosting The Drew Barrymore Show, which is a syndicated talk show.
