Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who started her career through smart raps that addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Also, she received Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. Following a focus on education, she graduated with a degree in journalism in university and also a women's study major. It wasn't until after graduating when she decided to turn her attention towards music.
